Memphis Diet Clinic and hCG Diet Overview
QUICK OVERVIEW The hCG diet is a total of 500 calories a day.
125 iu of hCG is administered daily
First 2 days of injections are loading days.
Following the third injection, the 500 calorie diet is applied and continued through 2 days after the last injection.
You should refrain from all sugars and starches at first
You should increase your food intake slowly each day until you reach a level that maintains your NEW weight.
– You must drink at least 10 glasses of no calorie beverage a day (8 oz each). – Fruit should be eaten 6 hours apart. – The diet should be followed exactly.
DAILY INJECTION OF hCG FOR 23 DAYS First two days are loading days. Recommend eating high fat foods. On Third day of injections- start diet which last for 23 days. This means you are on the diet for 2 days after you stop injections. How to do injections – Wipe skin with alcohol. Take syringe- remove cap. Apply needle. – Pinch area stomach- inject medicine. – Make sure to rotate spots - use your belly button as center and rotate 4 areas around it
PLATEAU PROBLEMS Occasionally someone will reach a plateau and their weight will go a couple of days without any change. Here are a few suggestions to correct this: – Increase water intake. – Eat only 6 apples one day and limit your water intake. – Check all condiments for sugar. – Stop mixing vegetables. – Don’t eat melba toast. – Have only liquids until dinner, then have a large steak with a tomato only.
FOOD SELECTION Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Artificial sweeteners may be used.
EXAMPLE OF FOOD SELECTION (Click for recipes) Choose fruit, meat, and optional Melba toast (12 calories). Add total calories. Subtract total calories from 250. Select remaining calories from vegetable list. Example:
250 - 157 = 93 remaining calories
250 calories total
